Herculéen représente le BOEUF MUSQUÉ récupéré de l'ouest et renvoyé dans la nature sauvage du nord du Canada.
Il y a une histoire remarquable sur leur migration de l'ouest du Canada vers le Nord-Du-Québec à Kuujjuaq. Cela a déclenché mon intérêt envers ce massif animal. Le Nunavik est la plus grande communauté de Kuujjuak et en 1967, ils ont commencé une ferme de boeufs sauvages comme projet socio-économique qui a été abandonné au début des années 80. Les animaux ont été relâchés dans la nature et ont peuplé la région de la baie d'Ungava et sont maintenant bien établis dans le nord du Québec.
Mon Exploration de la Faune Sauvage
Depuis mon enfance, la forêt m’a toujours inspiré et ce lien profond avec la nature s’est manifesté dans ma production artistique. Motivé par des recherches sur des enjeux environnementaux et la perte alarmante de biodiversité, j'ai développé un désir ardent de représenter la faune.
En 2011, j'ai eu l'honneur d'être commissaire de l'exposition collective "LES OISEAUX", une étape clé de mon parcours. Ma fascination pour le grèbe jougris, qui nidifie exclusivement à Rouyn-Noranda, m'a poussé à observer cette espèce pendant plusieurs années. Cela a culminé avec l'exposition "ICI, le grèbe jougris" et le livre associé, où j'ai créé plus de 35 œuvres.
En 2019-2020, j'ai lancé une initiative avec mes étudiants pour célébrer la faune d'Abitibi-Témiscamingue. Bien que l'exposition "LA FAUNE ET LA FLORE DE L'ABITIBI-TÉMISCAMINGUE" ait été retardée par la pandémie, elle a rencontré un grand succès en 2022.
Durant la pandémie, ma production artistique a pris de l'ampleur avec la série "RESPECT, Vie Sauvage Nordique", mettant en avant plus de douze espèces nord-américaines dans une approche intemporelle, présentée en galerie en 2022. Plus récemment, j’ai créer et présenté mes trois nouvelles pièces représentant les animaux de l’arctique. Ces oeuvres ont été exposées dans l’exposition ’’AVANT PREMIERS’’ à ma galerie l’été 2025, de mai à septembre avec trois autres artistes, tous représentant la faune de l'Abitibi-Témiscamingue et du Canada.
Cette série, tout comme d'autres projets, est profondément nourrie par mon engagement envers l'environnement. À travers mon art, je vise à sensibiliser et à motiver ceux qui l'observent à apprécier et à préserver la richesse de notre biodiversité.

Herculean represents the MUSK OX retrieved from the west and sent back into the wilderness of northern Canada. There is a remarkable story about their migration from the West of Canada to the North-of- Quebec, in Kuujjuaq. That triggered my interest in this massif wild animal. Nunavik is the largest community in Kuujjuaq, and in 1967, they started a wild ox farm as a social-economic project which was abandoned in the early 80s. The animals were released in the wild, have populated the Ungava Bay region, and are well established in the tundra of northern Quebec.
I began researching this subject many years ago by appreciation, and while researching facts, I discovered many exciting stories, symbolism, and myths about those fascinating animals. Even though diverse species are abounding, many have disappeared, and others are considered endangered.
I believe in the power of one’s impact in this world; no matter how little the implication, we can all make a difference. I decided to raise awareness about our rich Canadian wildlife by beginning a body of work representing the wildlife vitality found throughout our land.
At the beginning of 2022, I presented a Solo Art Exhibit entitled “RESPECT, Northern Wildlife,” representing over a dozen species. I approached the subject with the idea of having the animals pose as if they were getting their portrait painted, stating the importance of their presence in our world. This subject touches me more and more, and I know it's an ongoing theme because I am still painting new pieces in my studio,
Many of our forests are getting cut down at a phenomenal speed without considering the wetlands and wildlife territories. Our natural environment is the home of this wildlife and must be protected.
